Version 3 is not an automatic update to version 2.8.7. You can copy and paste calculators and keys from CALC 1 v2.x to v3.

Algebraic formula lock . Users now have a new "Calculation Mode" option, RPN or ALG. This gives users a full time algebraic mode. This is an enhancement of the formula mode from version 2 in that you have the formula and last result in the display. Also, starting a formula with a +, -, * , / or ^ operator will insert "rgX()" ("last" or "ans" in some other calculators) before the operator for quick calculations involving the last result. Using Auto STO, the keystrokes for using Formula Calculators is the same for ALG and RPN mode. See Calculations Using Algebraic Formulas for details. The Algebraic calculator from version 2 is not on version 3.

"%" has been added as an operator in formulas so formulas "123 + 5%=" can be used.

Downloads update. The list of available downloads now have separate sections. The Updates section will show the list of newer versions of calculators you have. The other section will show calculators that are available that are not installed. Available downloads that are not newer than what you have installed will not be shown. Instead of downloading calculators one at a time, you select the calculators to download (a check will appear) and tap a toolbar button to either download the checked calculators or download them and then replace the old version. The "All" button will select all updates. See Downloads for details.

New graphing framework . This has improved gestures for zooming and panning and will allow more graphs in future releases. See Formula Graphing for more information.

Significant digits number format option . This will display the set number of significant digits instead of decimal places. See Options for details.

This version contains major upgrades to the Formula Calculators to make them more powerful than ever!

Graphing has also been added to the Amortization Form Calculator .

The new custom keyboard also makes it easier to enter values for the Form Calculators input values.

What's New in version 2.8.5 (March 27, 2015)

Enhancements to the Algebraic Calculator:

When an operator is the first entry of a formula, "ans" is inserted in front of the operator.
Repeated tapping of the "=" for formulas with "ans" (ans + 1, for example) will re-evaluate the formula with the updated value for "ans".

The picker for the UOM and currency conversion selection has been replaced with a larger table style picker.

What's New in version 2.8.4 (March 14, 2015)

New Form Calculators

This version features 3 new Form Calculators :

  1. Currency Conversions
  2. UOM Conversions
  3. Dates

Currency Conversions and UOM Conversions can be quickly accessed by tapping or double-tapping the CALC 1 logo on any Focused or Formula Calculator.

The conversion calculators have a new "Create Key" button. This will automatically create a key for that conversion that you can paste into any Focused Calculator.

Double tapping the CALC 1 logo now displays the UOM Conversions instead of increasing the number of rows displayed. There is a new swipe up/down gesture on the display to increase and decrease the number of rows displayed. This allows you to increase or decrease the number of rows, instead of only decreasing them.

Amortization Form Calculator Upgrade

The Amortization Form Calculator now has a "Date of First Payment" date picker. Selecting this date will label each payment of the results with the year and month. An annual summary will also be created.

The Amortization and Depreciation results view now allows the user to increase or decrease the text size to better fit their device and the values.

Fixed the issue :When using an iPhone 6 Plus in landscape mode: Using the f() key to display the lists of functions in formula mode, the list of functions does not present itself correctly and it will not close after selecting a function. The workaround is to place the phone in portrait mode.

Auto STO is now turned on by default for new installations.

The TVM I/YR Focused Calculator is the default calculator for new installations.

What's New in version 2.8.1 (Jan 28, 2015)

Auto STO (AS) option

Rename Financial: TVM PYR CYR to TVM IYR : This is just a new name for that calculator. This is available by Downloading it.

A new key was added to TVM I/YR, "RndPmt" when the shift key is pressed. Since PMT is calculated to many decimal places, you need to round the payment if you want to calculate the FV. In the past, you would recall the payment, then round it, then store the rounded value. This new key does this with one key.

Fixed Link to Rate CALC 1: The old link was wrong.

Stack size bug when rotating: Sometimes the stack number values took more than one row after rotating to landscape or portrait. This has been resolved.

Formula mode, smaller font : When you enter a formula in a focused or formula calculator that is larger than the text area, the font size with automatically be reduced.

Added the reload button to the help page view : Help pages are cached to save time and date usage. The reload button allows users to reload pages that look like they might be out of date. With a new release, a lot of help pages are being updated.

New Formula Calculators: These can be Downloaded from the Formula Calculator list.

  1. Black-Scholes Call
  2. Black-Scholes Put
  3. Effective Interest Rate-Continuous

Issue with 2.8.1

When using an iPhone 6 Plus in landscape mode: Using the f() key to display the lists of functions in formula mode, the list of functions does not present itself correctly and it will not close after selecting a function. The workaround is to place the phone in portrait mode.
