Copy and Paste Keys

You can copy and paste keys from one calculator to another to create your own custom calculators.

The video, Copy and Paste Keys, demonstrates the process.

You must first create a calculator instead of modifying a calculator that ships with CALC 1. See the Create Child Calculator page for instructions on how to do this.

To copy a key:

  1. Select the calculator that has the key you want to copy.
  2. "Right swipe" the key to display an action sheet.
  3. Choose the option to copy the key.

To paste a key:

  1. Select the calculator where you want to paste the key.
  2. "Right swipe" the key where you want to paste.
  3. Choose the option to paste the key from the action sheet.

Keys created using "Create Key" buttons are also copied to the clipboard and can be pasted using the action sheet when you use the "right swipe" gesture on a key.

Note: Some keys (K, ^, parenthesis) are only displayed for specific calculation modes. For example, the "K" key has a different hint for ALG and CHN, and is not displayed at all in RPN mode. When working with keys of this type, it's better to use the Calculator Editor and Key Editor.
