- The simple Loan Form Calculator has been discontinued.

We added a calculator function needed to support 2 new Focused Calculators:

The Probabilities calculator has keys for calculating the normal, t and
chi squared distributions, combinations, permutations and more.

The Sports Odds calculator will convert odds, (failures / successes),
American moneyline, decimal odds to p (successes / trials).

The results of the History Item when solving for a Function Calculator parameter has been changed to the value of the parameter

- The CALC 1 TVM Focused Calculators have been updated with STO/RLC of all of the TVM values (N, I/YR, PV, PMT, FV, P/YR, C/YR, PER1, PER2 BEG/END) at once! Now you can STO different initial values or quickly switch between different scenarios.
- This STO/RCL “object” feature has also been added tot
- Enhanced the status annunciators to display all the values not shown on the key previews. So instead of just BEG mode the P/YR, PER1 PER2 are displayed.
- Each status annunciator is specific to the Focused Calculator so, for example, BEG, P/YR are only shown on the financial calculators that use them and DEG is only shown on calculators with trigonometry functions.

The new features of the financial version plus these additions:

- 13 new probability Function Calculators for a total of 25. Discrete: Binomial, Geometric, Negative Binomial, Hypergeometric, Poisson. Continuous: Normal, Exponential, Gamma, Weibull, Log Normal, Beta, Chi-Squared, T-Distribution, F-Distribution. Many of the CDF will calculate the CDF as well as the inverse with solving.
- A Function Calculator “Duplicate” command has been added to allow existing calculators to be duplicated in order to customize them.
- A new Triangles Focused Calculator to calculate the solution of plane triangles. Enter 3 of the 6 main characteristics and this calculator will determine the best method (SSS, SAS, SSA, ASA,AAS) and calculate the rest. The status annunciators will alert you if there are 2 solutions for some SSA cases.
- The History item will have the values shown on the keys and more information if you wish to find the other solution:

Calculates the diameter of the triangle's circumcircle.

Another solution exists if angle 45.58

is set to 180 - 45.58 = 134.4

7.000 : Side a.

13.56 : Side b.

10.00 : Side c.

30.00 : Angle α.

104.4 : Angle β.

45.58 : Angle γ.

33.90 : The area.

14.00 : The diameter of the triangle's circumcircle.

The customizable version of CALC 1 will allow user to create the best calculator for themselves.

- Create new calculators and copy and paste keys from existing calculators to create a custom calculator.
- Enter an expression in the ALG calculation mode and then use the "Create Key" button in the History Detail to automatically create a key to paste into one of your custom calculators.
- Use the "Create Key" button on the UOM or Currency Conversion Form Calculators to create keys to perform conversion with the tap of a key.

We will soon release a build to keep both the financial and customizable versions the same except for the customization features.

Changed the key hints on the Function Calculators to "Solves for "
instead of "Calculates " when solving for parameters.

Enhanced the error reporting when a Function Calculator cannot solve for
a parameter.

A few videos have been added to the documentation. We hope that these videos will make learning about CALC 1 easier for our users.

Updated the TVM calculator amortization to use C/YR.

Automatically checks for calculator updates.

Updated for new iPhones.

Added a 10bii Calculator with the functions of a 10bii on a CALC 1 Focused Calculator. This brings the number of TVM calculators to 6!

Added a time value of money (TVM) calculator with periodic rate and odd
periods, similar to a 12C.

This is for users who want the periodic rates and odd periods of a 12C,
but on a modern calculator with key previews, undo, history for
verifying and sharing and amortization for arbitrary periods without
changing the TVM N or PV values.

CALC 1 now has 5 TVM calculators: 2 CALC 1 Focused Calculators, 2 HP reproductions, (12C and 10bii) and a TVM calculator on a form.

New calculator key layouts with 'spell' key on most of them.

Example: Spell Out of : 1234

one thousand two hundred thirty-four

The spell out key is useful for reports, contracts...

Added a "All Updates" button to the downloads to make updating calculators easier.

This was just an update of the Focused Calculators to make the
secondary keys more consistent.

These are the keys usually on row 3, '1/x', '^', '(', ')'. 'EE'.

The 'spell' key on was added to most calculators.

Example: Spell Out of : 1234

one thousand two hundred thirty-four

The spell out key is useful for reports, contracts..

Version 4 is the largest re-write of CALC 1 since it was introduced in 2010. CALC 1 now uses JavaScript so future customizable versions will be more powerful than anything possible with previous versions of CALC 1 or other programmable calculators.

- Calculators now have 8 rows instead of 7.
- History details are now more readable reports.
- History details now use iOS Share activities so in addition to copy, print and email, the report can be sent to Notes, Messages and more.
- A new Styles system that saves multiple custom styles.
- Fraction formatting and display.
- Calculators are now aware of the Calculation Mode so RPN users have
more function keys instead of parenthesis keys.

Missing from version 4 is the level of customization that was in the previous versions of CALC 1. I plan to add these features soon. CALC 1 now uses JavaScript so the customization scripts can be much more powerful than in the previous versions! We have learned a lot about calculator customization and we have done extensive work on the structure of CALC 1 to make the customization more maintainable for the users.

Version 3.5 adds a HP 10bii reproduction to CALC 1.

- The 10bii and CALC 1 share the stack and TVM values to make it easy to switch between the classic calculator you are familiar with and over 100 powerful, easy, complete and customizable CALC 1 calculators.
- Haptic feedback has been added to the calculator buttons for tactile feedback. This is only for devices that support haptic feedback.

Version 3.4.2 adds a new formatting option to not show trailing zeros.

Version 3.4.1 adds button text sizing to the styles options and a full landscape calculator layout to plus size iPhones.

Version 3.4 adds a HP 12C reproduction to CALC 1.

- This is the Platinum version with RPN, ALG with parenthesis, undo, single digit delete and 400 program steps.
- The 12CP and CALC 1 share the stack and TVM values to make it easy to switch between the classic calculator you are familiar with and over 100 powerful, easy, complete and customizable CALC 1 calculators.

- Dynamic Type so users can change the size of the text on the display and buttons on the 12CP. (iOS 10 only)
- Adaptive layout for landscape, portrait, plus size iPhones and i Pads with slide over and split view.
- Copy and paste 12CP programs!

Also included are two CALC 1 versions of the 12C TVM calculators:

Time Value of
Money with Odd Periods and Simple Interest Calculator

Time Value of Money with Odd Periods and Compound Interest
Calculator

- Version 3.3.2
**saves calculators to the History list**when they are deleted manually or by updates. The history item can then be restored. This protects your customized calculators from accidental deletion. - You can also
**mail calculators**from the calculator list and open them from mail. This allows you to share calculators and provides a way to archive your custom calculators. - A new user option function to set the "Use Significant Digits" options from a key has been added.

Version 3.3.1 adds minor additions to the K key (for repetitive chain calculations.), restoring inputs from history and calculator duplication.

**This update brings the HP 10bii+ functions to CALC 1. **

- Student T-Distribution calculators (Statistical Distributions Overview)
- Exponent (y = b*m^x) and Inverse ( y = m/x+b ) curve fitting for a total of 6 curve fitting models and maximum correlation function.
- Chain mode K constant calculation for repetitive calculations. (Download the Math: Chain Calculator).
- New Bond Calculator with Call.

- Calculation History Items can be copied with statistical lists.
- List Manager XY tab that allows editing and copy and paste for x-y values.
- Poisson and Log Normal distributions for a total of 5 distributions (Normal, Log Normal, Student T, Binomial, Poisson).
- CALC 1 now has 12 statistical distribution calculators for PMF/PDF, lower tail, upper tail, two tail and two value so you don't have to do the conversions. Since CALC 1 Formula Calculators are solvers, you not only have the standard inverse function for x, but also mean and standard deviation.
- Duplicate any calculator with a left swipe from the calculator list. This allows you to quickly create calculators to compare scenarios.
- With this release CALC 1 has 24 Focused and over 60 Formula Calculators.
- New standard system key click sound.

- This version adds a new "Key Preview” option. This new option will display a value on applicable keys. Some iOS calculators have this for TVM values but CALC 1 previews the value for TVM, Bonds, all of the Formula Calculators and all of the STO/RCL keys. So now when you tap STO/RCL you see what values are currently stored and the storage variables that are available.
- Chain calculations undo is available for all operators that cause a calculation, and not just = as before. So now you can undo and redo all of the steps of a long calculation.
- New screens and key styles.
- Form Calculators now log to the History list.
- New iPhone option to allow key editing from calculators by swiping the key (right swipe gesture). This makes it easier to copy/paste/edit keys to be more productive.
- Trivial formulas (rgX(), rgY()) that are used to lift and drop the stack are no longer recorded in the history details.
- Added Cup and troy oz to UOM conversions.
- Minor enhancements to chain mode entering.
- Changed underflow so in the default Decimal, 2 digits, 0.001 is displayed as 0.001 instead of 1.0E-3. This is common in business and financial calculators.
- Changed overflows to use as many digits as will fit when displaying the value in scientific notation.
- iOS 9.1 is now the minimum iOS.

This version adds the chain calculation mode, popular with business and financial users.

- Immediate execution.
- Parenthesis to control the order of operation.
- Quickly include previous results from the automatic stack, history or "RCL" memory.
- Undo support to make it easy to recover from mistakes.

**Chain**- For basic to moderate calculations.**Algebraic**- Powerful, spreadsheet compatible, for more difficult calculations.**RPN**- Efficient, parenthesis free.

See Chain Calculations Using the Chain (CHN) Calculation Mode.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of CALC 1, be sure to download the updated Focused Calculators. Also include the "Formula Calculators" download. Copy and paste this as the Formula Calculator "non-formula" keys, then delete it from the Focused Calculator list.

If you have Free CALC 1, download the updated Focused Calculators. If you haven't purchased any in app purchases, just delete your old version and download the latest version.

Minor updates:

Turning on key clicks no longer mutes music.

Auto STO is no longer optional. It is always on.

A +/- key was added to the formula mode keyboard and replaced the (-) key. This will allow numbers to be negated anytime while they are being entered.

The Calculator Editor takes into account the changes in ALG/RPN mode.

Minor changes to some of the calculators. Some were missing the "=" command to automatically evaluate a pending expressing. Just tap the "Downloads" button in the calculator list, then "all" then "Download and Replace" to update your calculators.

Version 3 is not an automatic update to version 2.8.7. You can copy and paste calculators and keys from CALC 1 v2.x to v3.

**Algebraic formula lock**. Users now have a new
"Calculation Mode" option, RPN or ALG. This gives users a full time
algebraic mode. This is an enhancement of the formula mode from version
2 in that you have the formula and last result in the display. Also,
starting a formula with a +, -, * , / or ^ operator will insert "rgX()"
("last" or "ans" in some other calculators) before the operator for
quick calculations involving the last result. Using Auto STO, the
keystrokes for using Formula Calculators is the same for ALG and RPN
mode. See Calculations
Using Algebraic Formulas for details. The Algebraic calculator
from version 2 is not on version 3.

**"%" has been added** as an operator in formulas so
formulas "123 + 5%=" can be used.

**Downloads update.** The list of available downloads now
have separate sections. The Updates section will show the list of newer
versions of calculators you have. The other section will show
calculators that are available that are not installed. Available
downloads that are not newer than what you have installed will not be
shown. Instead of downloading calculators one at a time, you select the
calculators to download (a check will appear) and tap a toolbar button
to either download the checked calculators or download them and then
replace the old version. The "All" button will select all updates. See Downloads
for details.

**New graphing framework**. This has improved gestures for
zooming and panning and will allow more graphs in future releases. See Formula
Graphing for more information.

**Significant digits number format option**. This will
display the set number of significant digits instead of decimal places.
See Options for details.

**New Formula Calculators:** Percent Of Total, Permutations,
Combinations and
Kelly Bet.

New name, CALC 1, and icon.

The iPhone toolbar can now be shown in portrait mode on the iPhone. The buttons for the currency and UOM conversions have been added so users have quick access to all 5 utility screens (currency conversion, UOM conversions, History List, List Manager and Options) .

The toolbar has been added to the Algebraic Calculator so users now have conversions available from that calculator.

Imperial gallons, pints and ounces have been added to the volume UOM conversions.

This version contains major upgrades to the Formula Calculators to make them more powerful than ever!

- Graphing has been added to the Formula Calculators. You can now graph formulas as a function of any of the independent variables.
- A new custom keyboard that makes entering formulas for Formula Calculators and custom keys easier. You can also use it to enter values and formulas for Form Calculators.
- You can now edit, copy and paste the Formula Calculator keys that are not part of the formula to add more functions you need to the Formula Calculators.
- New Formula Calculators: Present Value, Future Value and Annual Cost Of Lighting.
- The Formula Calculator key labels no longer need to match the variable name for that key. This allows you to use symbols like the % sign as key labels.
- Version number and version changes fields have been added to Focused and Formula Calculators. This will allow updates to be identified.
- A Documentation URL field has been added so the URL is not derived from the name.
- The free Formula Calculators have been updated for the new features.

Graphing has also been added to the Amortization Form Calculator.

The new custom keyboard also makes it easier to enter values for the Form Calculators input values.

When an operator is the first entry of a formula, "ans" is inserted in
front of the operator.

Repeated tapping of the "=" for formulas with "ans" (ans + 1, for
example) will re-evaluate the formula with the updated value for "ans".

The picker for the UOM and currency conversion selection has been replaced with a larger table style picker.

This version features 3 new Form Calculators:

Currency Conversions and UOM Conversions can be quickly accessed by tapping or double-tapping the CALC 1 logo on any Focused or Formula Calculator.

The conversion calculators have a new "Create Key" button. This will automatically create a key for that conversion that you can paste into any Focused Calculator.

Double tapping the CALC 1 logo now displays the UOM Conversions instead of increasing the number of rows displayed. There is a new swipe up/down gesture on the display to increase and decrease the number of rows displayed. This allows you to increase or decrease the number of rows, instead of only decreasing them.

The Amortization Form Calculator now has a "Date of First Payment" date picker. Selecting this date will label each payment of the results with the year and month. An annual summary will also be created.

The Amortization and Depreciation results view now allows the user to increase or decrease the text size to better fit their device and the values.

Version 2.8.3 is a release for Free CALC 1. It is the same as CALC 1 2.8.2 except for iAds and In-App Purchases.

Fixed the issue :When using an iPhone 6 Plus in landscape mode: Using the f() key to display the lists of functions in formula mode, the list of functions does not present itself correctly and it will not close after selecting a function. The workaround is to place the phone in portrait mode.

Auto STO is now turned on by default for new installations.

The TVM I/YR Focused Calculator is the default calculator for new installations.

**Rename Financial: TVM PYR CYR to TVM IYR**: This is
just a new name for that calculator. This is available by Downloading
it.

A new key was added to TVM I/YR, "RndPmt" when the shift key is pressed. Since PMT is calculated to many decimal places, you need to round the payment if you want to calculate the FV. In the past, you would recall the payment, then round it, then store the rounded value. This new key does this with one key.

**Fixed Link to Rate CALC 1:** The old link was wrong.

**Stack size bug when rotating:** Sometimes the stack
number values took more than one row after rotating to landscape or
portrait. This has been resolved.

**Formula mode, smaller font**: When you enter a formula
in a focused or formula calculator that is larger than the text area,
the font size with automatically be reduced.

**Added the reload button to the help
page view**: Help pages are cached to save time and date
usage. The reload button allows users to reload pages that look like
they might be out of date. With a new release, a lot of help pages are
being updated.

**New Formula Calculators:** These can be Downloaded
from the Formula Calculator list.

When using an iPhone 6 Plus in landscape mode: Using the f() key to display the lists of functions in formula mode, the list of functions does not present itself correctly and it will not close after selecting a function. The workaround is to place the phone in portrait mode.

Version 2.8 has been updated for iOS "adaptive interfaces" (Supporting any size display or orientation of a device).

The History List has been updated to recall the results of past calculations.

The info buttons

has been replaced with "help"

buttons for on-line help for CALC 1.

Apple used the info button for "more information" and details about an item.

The info button is now used to display the calculator editors and history details.
