Amortization Form Calculator

This will calculate the payment breakdown and remaining balance for each payment and an annual summary.

The dates and annual summary will be calculated if the "Payments Per Year" are 2, 3, 4, 6, or 12.

You can populate the values using the Loan Form Calculator, Time Value of Money Form Calculator or Financial Time Value of Money I/YR Calculator.

You can change the values for the number of periods if you only need the amortization for a part of the loan. For example if you have a 7 year ARM and you want to see the amortization only for the first 7 years you can change the "Number of Periods" to 84.

You can change the payment to see the results of a larger payment.

The results will appear in a new view.

Tap one of the "=" buttons to calculate the results: (Period Table shown)

The year and month of each payment period is listed. When you select the date of the first payment, only the year and month are used.

You can copy the results to the clipboard by tapping the copy icon.

The T+/- buttons will increase or decrease the size of the text. You may want to reduce the text so it fits on a smaller device or increase the size on a larger device.

At the bottom of the results are the totals for the payments, interest and principal and the percentage of the total of the payments.

Selecting "Graph Period Table" will generate a graph of the interest, principal and payment by period. You can select the legend item to toggle the display of the selected plot line. See the Amortization Graph page for documentation of the other options.
